YouTuber Jack Maynard has said he wants to return to I’m A Celebrity following his removal this year.
Jack Maynard, 22, left I’m A Celebrity 2017 after only three days due to a joint decision made by his management and ITV bosses to remove him from the jungle.
Jack was removed from the jungle for a number of reasons, mainly because tweets stretching back for years were uncovered and they weren’t pleasant.
In his first TV appearance since leaving the jungle, Jack told ITV’s Lorraine he’d love a second chance to ‘prove himself’.
“I’ve definitely thought about whether I’d go back on,
“Now that I’m out it’s definitely something that I’d love to go and do again and prove myself.”
Jack added: “I didn’t get the worst of it while I was in there, I didn’t get any really tough trials, I was attacked by a leaf which was pretty traumatising,”
At the time of Jack’s removal from the show, an ITV spokesman said: “Due to circumstances outside camp Jack has had to withdraw from the show.”
In a statement released by Jack’s agent, it said: “In the last few days Jack Maynard has been the subject of a succession of media stories which, given his position as a contestant on ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ – filmed in the Australian jungle, with no contact with the outside world, he has been unable to respond to.
“Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed that it would be better to bring him out of the show.
“Jack agrees with this decision which was made by his representatives and ITV and thanks everyone who has supported him in the show this far.”
