Drayton Manor, theme park has just ended its 2013 season on a high with a spectacular firework display across 2 days! (Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November).
Drayton Manor one of the UK’s favourite theme parks with a wide range of rides for all the family members from Thomas land to Apocalypse (UK’s scariest ride rated by the Gadget Show on Channel 5) across 280 acres of land and water has just celebrated the end of the 2013 season.
The parks fireworks are not to be missed by anyone in the Midlands as each year the fireworks have a different theme. This year wasn’t a let-down as the theme was ‘Sci-Fi’, yes… Aliens and time travel! What could be better?
The display lasted over 20minutes across the lake which is centred in the middle of the park, which meant 1000’s of people across the weekend had fantastic views of almost every angle there was to see.
The display gave the illusion you were in fact travelling across the universe with lasers and lights beaming over the lake in a fantastic visual display along with a soundtrack featuring theme tunes from the likes of Stars Wars and Back to the Future to famous phrases from Britain’s best loved characters, The Doctor to ET the famous “Phone Home” alien! Not to forget the fireworks above, lighting up the sky with stunning colours and effects.
If you think that was good, Drayton Manor also decided to leave most of the rides open until 9pm, which allowed adrenaline junkies to experience another level of excitement on their favourite rides.
Heart FM teamed up with Drayton Manor throughout the weekend keeping guests entertained wherever they were in the park from the short queues to the dining areas the musical entertainment from the station could be heard along with their presenters giving updates and news live at the Park.
Overall the weekend was a massive success for everyone who took part and we look forward to next year.
