Eamonn Holmes ‘turns down’ Celebrity Big Brother’s staggering offer to join lineup!

Channel 5 have reportedly offered Eamonn Holmes £800,000 to sign up for Celebrity Big Brother – Which he’s declined.

This Morning presenter, Eamonn Holmes has been approached by Celebrity Big Brother bosses to join January’s lineup, according to the Daily Star.

The 58-year-old who has recently received an OBE in the New Year Honours list by The Queen, has turned down a spot on the CBB lineup.

The paper reports that Eamonn told the show’s producers “I don’t need the cash.”

A source said: “Eamonn has turned down a number of offers over the years. This one is the biggest so far at £800,000. But no amount of money could tempt him.

“He’s said it isn’t about the money because he doesn’t need to earn more cash than he already does through his TV projects.

The insider added to the paper: “Eamonn told producers he absolutely loves the show and is a committed viewer, but definitely doesn’t want to be a housemate.”

Celebrity Big Brother isn’t the only show Eamonn has turned down this year.

Strictly Come Dancing bosses were more eager to sign up Eamonn Holmes than Ruth Langsford this year, but he said ‘no’ to the offer.

Ruth told the media earlier this year at Strictly’s 2017 launch show: “[Eamonn has] been approached before, yes,

“He’s not saying he’ll never do it, but he’s had two new hips last year. It’s a little early days, yet, but we enjoyed the rumour.

Ruth added: “We enjoyed adding fuel to the fire.”

The full rumoured lineup for Celebrity Big Brother 2018 has been revealed ahead of Tuesday’s launch show.

Celebrity Big Brother 2018 launches on Channel 5 on 2 January at 9PM.
