Dancing On Ice sensationally returns and viewers LOVED it but hated the commentator!

Dancing on Ice, the celebrity ice skating show that was axed by ITV four years ago, has sensationally returned.

Celebrities and professional figure skaters have paired up as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield reunite as hosts of Dancing On Ice after a four-year break.

The skating show sensationally returned to ITV on Sunday along with outspoken judge Jason Gardiner, skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who were formerly coaches, and Ashley Banjo from the dance group Diversity.

This year’s contestants are Donna Air, Cheryl Baker, Alex Beresford, Candice Brown, Kem Cetinay, Antony Cotton, Max Evans, Lemar, Jake Quickenden, Perri Shakes-Drayton, Brooke Vincent and Stephanie Waring.

The six celebs that performed on Sunday were Kem Cetinay, Stephanie Waring, Antony Cotton, Perri Shakes-Drayton, Jake Quickenden and Candice Brown.

Unfortunately, the couple who ended up in the skate off next week after receiving the fewest votes were Candice Brown and Matt Evers.

Fans took to Twitter to praise the return of Dancing On Ice.

One viewer said: “So glad #DancingOnIce is back something sundays needed for a long time”

Sadly, no one could stand the new commentator.

New commentator, ITV Racing’s Matt Chapman, didn’t agree with fans.

Sadly the original Dancing On Ice commentator Tony Gubba passed away in 2013 from ill-health.

One viewer said: Excited #DancingOnIce is back but really don’t think the commentator works. Far too shouty – no need to be. It just spoils it.

Dancing On Ice continues next Sunday on ITV.
