The skating show sensationally returned to ITV on Sunday along with outspoken judge Jason Gardiner, skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who were formerly coaches, and Ashley Banjo from the dance group Diversity.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield reunited as hosts as Dancing On Ice returned after a four-year break.
The six celebs that performed on Sunday were Kem Cetinay, Stephanie Waring, Antony Cotton, Perri Shakes-Drayton, Jake Quickenden and Candice Brown.
A staggering audience of 7.5 million tuned in to the opening episode of the rebooted show, with a peak of 8.6 million.
Unfortunately, the couple who ended up in the skate off next week after receiving the fewest votes were Candice Brown and Matt Evers.
Going back in time, 6.8 million people tuned in for the launch of Dancing On Ice’s last series in 2014.
