It’s a girl! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcome third child via surrogate

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have become parents for the third time as their surrogate has given birth to a baby girl.

Kim Kardashian, 37, and Kanye West’s surrogate, who has not been named, has given birth to their second daughter yesterday afternoon.

Kim announced the special news on her website on Tuesday, the statement said: “She’s here! We’re so in love.”

“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl

She continued: “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care.

“North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”

The couple’s baby girl weighed 7lbs 2oz, the statement revealed and it said she was doing well.

It was revealed in December 2017 that Kim’s first embryo implant in the surrogate failed.

Khloe Kardashian said on the phone on Keeping Up With The Kardashians: “It’s really nerve-wracking because there’s only a 60 percent chance it [the embryo] will take…

“I mean, I tried one and I lost it. So it’s just a chance.”

Kim revealed on the same episode that she and Kanye spent a year deciding who would be chosen as their surrogate, even putting the woman through psychological testing: “Getting a surrogate and finding someone that you really trust really is so much more for difficult of a situation than you could really imagine.

“You have to like make sure that their lifestyle is healthy and they have to go through psychological testing, and it was maybe a year before we finalised our current situation.”
