Celebrity Big Brother 2018: John Barnes given the boot in shock backdoor eviction!

John Barnes has been evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house via the backdoor.

John Barnes has been booted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house in the first backdoor eviction of the series.

Ann Widdecombe, Daniel O’Reilly, Amanda Barrie and John Barnes were put up for nomination by their fellow housemates – Although no one knew at the time, one of them would be evicted.

On Sunday’s show, the sexes were separated into different rooms. Big Brother told both rooms: “By the time that you have left this room you will have made a very important decision.

“As a group, you must unanimously agree which two housemates that you would like to face eviction this week.”

The men nominated Amanda Barrie and Ann Widdecombe, while the women chose John Barnes and Daniel O’Reilly.

On Monday’s show, the men and woman had to battle one last time to save their nominated housemates.

The woman won the task and then had to decide which of their two nominated male housemates is evicted from the CBB house via the backdoor.

The women eventually reached an unanimous decision on who should be evicted, they picked John Barnes.

“I have to speak for the women,” Malika Haqq said as she announced the news to the house.

“and this is not easy for us to do at all and with the heaviest heart we have to say goodbye to John.”

She continued: “And the reason for that is because we know that John can take this, and we know he will go on and continue to do great things for himself and his family, and we believe Daniel still deserves a shot at winning CBB.”

Before John left via the backdoor, he told Big Brother: “There are no hard feelings none whatsoever, you can see Ashley crying, and Malika, and people don’t cry that quickly if they are faking it.”

Celebrity Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.
