Rylan Clark-Neal reveals he quit ITV’s This Morning because his mental health ‘needed a break’

Rylan Clark-Neal has set the record straight regarding his shock exit from ITV’s This Morning in an interview.

Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed why he decided to take an extended break from This Morning saying he needed ‘some time for himself’.

“I got a load of sh** when I had a break from This Morning after five years,” Rylan told The Sun backstage at Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.

“I’m really missing being there but I just need time to myself. People think there’s an ulterior motive and there’s not.

Rylan added: “I just needed a break for my head, for my body, for my piece of mind.”

Earlier this month, Rylan appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to talk about his exit and admitted he was happy to “have his morning’s back”.

“I’ve been working constantly for five years and I just need time to myself,” he said.

Lorraine agreed with the Bit On The Side host: “You’re married now and whether you have children in the future or not, you need some time to yourself.”

Rylan is also optimistic that Big Brother WILL return for future series after reports that Channel 5 are thinking about axing the show, he told the paper: “If it didn’t come back I would be utterly devastated.”
