Dancing On Ice bosses are thinking about signing Brendan Cole as a judge following his axe from Strictly Coming Dancing.
Yesterday, Brendan Cole confirmed the news that he has been dropped from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing after fourteen years on the show.
Dancing On Ice producers are discussing whether to sign Brendan, 41, as they believe he would be a great addition to the show.
An insider said: “There was a discussion at ITV and bosses think he would be an amazing signing if he could be part of the show in some form, most likely on the judging panel.
“No one has approached him yet but he’s top of the wish list and it’s clear he is destined for great things – he was a huge character on Strictly and really helped make the show what it was.”
“Brendan has a massive and loyal fan base and the hope is that they’ll follow him to DOI and make the show even bigger next year,” a source continued to The Sun.
“While bosses haven’t ironed out any details or contacted him, they were discussing how brilliant the back-and-forth banter would be between him and acid-tongued Jason Gardiner.”
Brendan spoke on ITV’s Lorraine to announce the news of his axe from Strictly: “They’ve made an editorial decision not to have me back.
“I’m disappointed. I’ve always known this day would come. I’m a very strong character, some don’t like that.”
BBC bosses have reportedly axed Brendan from the show after ‘losing patience with his antics behind the scenes‘.
