Dancing On Ice will celebrate Team GB on this weekend’s live show when they are joined in the studio by Winter Olympic skating hopefuls Nick Buckland and Penny Coomes.
Ahead of competing in Pyeongchang, South Korea this February, Nick and Penny will take to the ice to perform one of their world class routines in front of Dancing on Ice’s studio audience and of course former Olympic champions Torvill and Dean.
Dancing on Ice’s Creative Director Katie Rawcliffe said: “We are so excited and privileged to be sending off Nick and Penny from team GB to the Winter Olympics this weekend on Dancing On Ice.
“Having watched rehearsals they are simply stunning, maybe they will follow in the footsteps of Torvill and Dean.”
Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will also return on Sunday to present the next stage as the contest reaches the halfway point, with nine celebrities still in the running to be crowned this year’s champion.
However, they still need to impress judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner with their talents to avoid the skate-off.
Dancing On Ice returns this Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
