Declan Donnelly comforted Ant McPartlin backstage at Britain’s Got Talent auditions last week after he was left in tears.
Ant McPartlin reportedly ‘bursted into tears’ backstage at Britain’s Got Talent auditions last week after hearing a contestant’s heartbreaking story.
Ant shedded tears at the wings of the Britain’s Got Talent stage in London last week, The Mirror reports that insiders are questioning if he’s showing ‘signs of emotion over his marriage split with Lisa Armstrong‘.
A magician graced the BGT stage and told the judges his heartbreaking story about his wife and daughter, who had cancer.
An insider told the paper: “Ant got very emotional, which was unusual. This story seems to really strike a chord with Ant.
“We wondered if the pressure has finally got to him? Was he letting out lots of tears about more than just this story.”
For the seventh year running, Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon have returned to judge the nation’s talent.
The BGT judges have already chosen their four acts they want to send straight through to this year’s live semi-finals by pressing their golden buzzers – Ant and Dec have not yet pressed their golden buzzer.
So far the auditions have taken place in Blackpool and London, and arrive at their final destination in Manchester next week.
ITV have not yet revealed when Britain’s Got Talent is set to return but for the last five years the first episode has aired around mid-April.
It’s been said that the new series will return Saturday 14th April.
