On Sunday night, 12 strong and sexy singles will enter The Lodge for the ultimate battle of the sexes in ITV2’s new show, Survival of the Fittest.

The South African savannah will be the backdrop to a new ITV2 entertainment show launching this Sunday.

Survival of the Fittest sees a team of Boys and a team of Girls go head-to-head to find out which sex will come out on top.

The aim of the game is to stay on your team until the end to be in with a chance of winning a share of £40k.

The lodge where they are staying has been modified and designed especially for the ITV2 show.

The Lodge is vast with a Girls Dorm and a Boys Dorm – There is also a Dressing Room for the Girls and Boys to get ready pre and post challenge.

There are wooden trunks for storage at the end of the Girls and Boys beds, plus a charging portal for the watches they will wear which will alert them of a new challenge.

Fun fact: The Lodge, as it appears on the show, took around nine weeks to construct.

The watches operate on a closed secure network, so the Boys and Girls can never communicate with the world outside The Lodge.

There is a stunning luxurious outdoor bathroom that comes equipped with a bath (big enough for two), a rainfall shower, double sinks and two toilets.

The kitchen is in the centre of The Lodge and is open planned, equipped with all mod cons and is decked out in safari style – It features a beautiful breakfast bar, perfect for catching up around when preparing food or drinks.

Next to the Kitchen is a large dining table especially made for The Lodge. With a sleek wooden finish, the table features a tree trunk as its centrepiece, made from an African tree log.

Fun fact: A lot of the wooden bars and fixtures in The Lodge are recycled from pieces of wood and trees found in the surrounding savannah.

There is plenty of room for ‘hanging out’ on a large, comfortable hanging chair – built for two. Plus, the sleek and soft sofas featuring dark wood is another area for the Teams to chat about their days.

The Treehouse is where the Girls and Boys can go to talk about their thoughts, feelings and goings on in The Lodge.

The Girls and Boys will want to keep on top of their fitness in The Lodge so have an outdoor gym to work out in.

There is a specially designed pool so they can keep cool in the searing South African heat.

Beyond the pool is the stunning Waterhole, a large lake that is safe for swimming and also looks out onto the stunning South African mountains.

A bridge leads the way over to The Lookout, a place for alone time, quiet time, date time or mate time. The Girls and Boys will also enter The Lodge over the bridge, and it will be the exit should they ever get replaced.

Fun fact: There are 61 cameras in and around The Lodge to capture the Girls and Boys every moves in this ultimate battle of the sexes.

There are three lightning conductors on top of The Lodge to guard the lodge from South African storms.

Survival of the Fittest, starts Sunday 11th Feb at 9pm on ITV2.
