X Factor’s Ella Henderson is parting ways from Simon Cowell’s record label Syco, according to a report.
Before Ella Henderson had chance to release her next album, she has been dropped from Simon Cowell’s record label.
Ella finished sixth in the ITV show back in 2012 following a sing-off against series winner James Arthur.
Despite leaving the competition early, Simon Cowell signed her to his record label.
Ella released her debut album Chapter One in 2014 and it was certified platinum.
Debut single Ghost, from the album, went straight to Number 1 in the charts after selling more than more than 1.2million copies in the UK.
A spokesman for Syco have confirmed to The Sun that Ella has been dropped: “Syco and Ella Henderson are parting company.
“We wish Ella all the best for the future and thank her for her hugely successful contribution over the years.”
Although the source didn’t specifically reveal why Ella has been dropped, they mentioned problems behind the scenes.
The insider added: “A new beginning seemed the best option,
“Meetings have taken place to discuss her future . . . and the result was to let her go.”
This isn’t the first big shakeup from Syco, X Factor’s 5 After Midnight left Simon’s label in November, and so did Fleur East.
