Nadiya Hussain has quit BBC’s Big Family Cooking Showdown after just one series in favour of her own series.
Nadiya Hussain has quit the Big Family Cooking Showdown on BBC2 but it’s been revealed she’ll return to the channel with her own series, Nadiya’s Family Favourites.
The Bake Off winner wanted to focus on ‘getting back to my own love of cooking’ and she believes her new series will give her that opportunity.
Nadiya, 33, told The Mirror: “I really enjoyed presenting, but I’m now focusing on getting back to my own love of cooking for my new series, and looking forward to other exciting projects.
“I wish the team the very best.”
The Big Family Cooking Showdown was advertised by the BBC as a ‘major new competitive food show that celebrates favourite family recipes, meeting a diverse variety of home cooks from across Britain over the 12 part competition’.
The show was presented by Zoe Ball and Nadiya Hussain, and it delved into kitchens up and down the country, showcasing family food.
