Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2018: Saturday’s lineup has been revealed

    Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola is back and it’s bigger than ever, this morning Capital FM revealed Saturday’s lineup.

    On Saturday December 8th and Sunday December 9th, the world’s hottest hit music stars will jet in to London to perform live exclusively for Capital listeners at the iconic O2 Arena.

    Now in its eleventh year, Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball is always a sell-out event. Last year, more than 30,000 fans flocked to the Ball over two days to see performances from global stars including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and The Chainsmokers.

    This morning on Capital Breakfast, Roman Kemp revealed the first huge names confirmed for night one of the UK’s biggest Christmas party.

    Roman kicked off the massive reveal week by announcing Anne-Marie as the first star confirmed to play Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola. The singer is one of the biggest female solo artists to emerge from the UK music scene in recent years.

    In the past year, Anne-Marie’s debut studio album ‘Speak Your Mind’ has entered the UK album charts at no.3, she’s dropped the huge top ten hits ‘2002’ and ‘Friends’ with Marshmello, and played some of Europe’s biggest arenas.

    Next up, Roman revealed that Liam Payne will be raising the decibels at the Ball. After selling more than 70 million records, achieving 100 international number ones and performing to more than 10 million fans worldwide as part of One Direction, Liam has forged a hugely successful career since venturing out as a solo artist.

    James Arthur has also been added to Saturday’s lineup, he told Capital Breakfast that he’s looking forward to playing the Ball: “I can’t wait! It’s been a while since I’ve done some shows in the UK, so I’m really excited to give people some of that energy and play some new songs.”

    Joining the above are also Halsey, Jonas Blue, Rak-Su, Ellie Goulding, Olly Murs and finally Rita Ora.

    Speaking about performing at the Ball, Rita Ora told Capital Breakfast’s Roman Kemp: “I’ve done the Ball three times now and every time I do it, it’s literally the craziest energy in the world. I mean, Capital know how to put on a Ball so I’m super excited!”.

    Capital FM have not yet announced the headliner for Saturday’s lineup, although according to rumours it could be Ariana Grande.

    Tickets for Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2018 go onsale this Thursday (November 8) at 8am.
