Luke Perry’s final ever Riverdale appearance will air this Friday, according to showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
Almost two months after Luke Perry sadly died, his final episode of Riverdale airs this week on The CW and Netflix.
Luke devastatingly died from complications of a stroke in early March, and now Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa has revealed on Twitter that this week will be the final episode with Fred Andrews in.
Luke played Fred Andrews, the father to Archie Andrews in the hit Netflix and CW show.
Sacasa said: “As always, Fred’s imparting words of wisdom to Archie. A beautiful, true moment between a father and his son. Wish these scenes could go on forever…”
Executive producer Sacasa told Entertainment Tonight in March: “You know, honestly, we are I think all still in shock and are all still processing and grieving.
“We know that we have to address it in some way, but we’re giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honor him.”
He added: “Luke was, is, and will always be a big part of Riverdale. We’re kind of a family and when a loss like this happens, you carry it always.
“It changes and it hopefully becomes a little less painful as time goes by, but you’re changed.”
