Ant and Dec call out Simon Cowell’s diva behaviour on Britain’s Got Talent set

Ant and Dec have said they’re ‘used to’ Simon Cowell’s timekeeping skills on the set of Britain’s Got Talent.

This spring sees the return of the nation’s favourite variety talent show to ITV,  Britain’s Got Talent.

Now in its 14th series, the unstoppable multi-award-winning talent extravaganza is back with even more amazing, surprising and jaw-dropping acts, all vying to impress the judges and secure their place in the live semi-finals, which will be taking place later in the year.

Ahead of the new series, hosts Ant and Dec have spoken out about Simon Cowell’s timekeeping skills.

Speaking about the first thing that goes through their mind at the start of an audition day, Ant said: “What time will Simon Cowell get there today?”

He added: “I tell you what’s nice as well, when you meet certain people and they have that look in their eye, especially if they’ve been doing it for a long time where they just realise that this show could change their lives. Whether they win or not, if they do well this show could change their life, their income, their kids’ lives. It’s a big day for everyone who walks around the corner and chats to us.”

Dec continued: “We’re used to it, so as long as you’re used to it, it doesn’t come as a surprise! For us, auditions are always fun, and you do think, “Is today going to be the day that we see the winner and unearth a brand-new star?” Everyone who has won the show has gone on to stardom and success of varying degrees.

“So, we always get excited about the prospect of meeting a brand-new star!”

Britain’s Got Talent 2020 airs this Saturday on ITV.
