Steven Moffat, the co-creator of the hit drama series Sherlock, has revealed that the fourth and fifth series have already been plotted out!
Whilst talking about the finale of the third series Steven Moffat also assured fans that he was thinking ahead for future episodes of Sherlock.
He said “”Rather excitingly, Mark [Gatiss] and I, for no particular reason, we just got out of the rain and sat at the top of the [Sherlock] production bus and we just started plotting out what we could do in the future,” said Moffat.”And we plotted out the whole of series four and five.
“So we have got plans – but our plans don’t tend to be, ‘Let’s blow up the world or cast the most famous person in the world’, they tend to be, ‘What exciting twists and turns can we add to this?’ And I think we’ve got some crackers.
“The ideas we had that day, I thought, were the best we’ve ever had.”
Although the fourth series has not yet been confirmed by the BBC it is expected to be announced soon. The schedule of the next series will depend on its lead stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
Sherlock continues with the epic finale ‘The last vow’ on Sunday the 12th of January at 8:30pm on BBC 1.
