ITV reveal Britain’s Got Talent 2023 start date

Britain’s Got Talent returns for its sixteenth series this month on ITV. This is all you need to know about the new series.

Series 16 of the much-loved talent contest, Britain’s Got Talent, will be hitting our screens with a ‘super weekender’, featuring two episodes of the show.

ITV has announced that the new season will begin on Saturday 15th April at 8pm, with a second episode on Sunday 16th April at 7:45pm on ITV1.

The show, which is hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, is set to be bigger and better than ever before, with a brand new judge joining the panel. The new addition is none other than the legendary Bruno Tonioli, who is taking over from David Walliams.

Bruno, who is best known for his role as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, is thrilled to be joining the Britain’s Got Talent team. Speaking about his new role, he said: “I am thrilled to be here, what an honour it is to work with [Simon] finally.

“He’s teased me with this for years and I’m thrilled to be here, I’m emotional and very nervous.”

Bruno will be joining the show’s long-standing judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon.

The winner of Britain’s Got Talent will receive a prize of £250,000 and a spot at the 2023 Royal Variety Performance. Last year’s winner was comedian Axel Blake, who wowed the judges and the audience with his hilarious stand-up routine.
