AJ Odudu and Will Best confirmed as new hosts of ITV’s Big Brother

After months of speculation, ITV has officially confirmed that AJ Odudu and Will Best will be the hosts of the highly-anticipated reboot of Big Brother.

The news of AJ Odudu and Will Best becoming the hosts of Big Brother has been received with excitement by fans of the show, who are looking forward to seeing what the new presenting duo will bring to the iconic programme.

AJ Odudu is no stranger to the world of Big Brother, having shot to fame in 2013 as the presenter of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side. She has since gone on to present a range of shows, including The Voice UK, The Big Breakfast, and 2022’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant. She was also a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019, making it all the way to the final before having to withdraw due to injury. Odudu is currently hosting the new Channel 4 series The Big Interiors Battle.

Will Best, on the other hand, is a regular panellist on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side and has also presented shows including Dance Dance Dance and Celebrity Coach Trip. He grew up with the original Big Brother, so getting the chance to host it alongside his friend AJ is a dream come true for him.

In a statement, AJ expressed her excitement at the opportunity to host the iconic show: “I’m so excited to finally be able to say that, yes: I’m hosting Big Brother! I couldn’t be happier. Following in the footsteps of some of my favourite broadcasting legends to front such an iconic show is an absolute honour – and to do it alongside my amazing friend Will is the icing on the cake.”

Will echoed her sentiments, saying, “I can’t wait to tell some housemates not to swear.”

The new presenting duo has been praised by Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning for ITV2 and ITVX, who believes that they will bring “effortless wit, charm and heaps of character to their roles.” Natalka Znak, CEO of Remarkable Entertainment, Initial and Znak TV, added: “It’s an all-new Big Brother on a new channel and with new hosts. AJ and Will are fresh, with bags of talent, and a real passion for this iconic show. It’s going to be such fun having them at the helm.”

The Big Brother reboot is set to start airing this autumn, and fans are eagerly awaiting more news about the format of the show and the new housemates.

With a new presenting duo, a fresh format, and a new channel, the Big Brother reboot is shaping up to be one of the most exciting entertainment events of the year.
