Lauren Silverman gave birth to Simon Cowell’s son last night at 10:45 UK time.
The baby was born in America at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York on Valentines Day. Simon tweeted “Very happy to say Eric was born at 17:45. Healthy and handsome.Lauren in great shape. Thanks for all the kind messages.”
He later revealed that his son was named after his late father Eric.

Cowell’s close friend Sinitta also posted: “All is well and baby boy says “parents are well and CUTE!”. Happy Valentines day BABY!! #justInTimeValentine!”
Simon was alongside Lauren when she gave birth as well as Lauren’s parents. Simon had left the London Britain’s Got Talent Auditions and boarded a plane to the US for the birth. Lauren already has an 8 year old son Adam from her previous marriage with Simon’s friend Andrew Silverman.
Rumors have suggested that Simon will be staying in America for the next few days.
