A spokesman for the BBC has said they had not given up yet on getting Kylie back for the next series of The Voice UK in 2015, despite her comments.
Kylie has been speaking to The Mirror and has said “being on the show is a huge commitment. I have loved it although there have been parts which have been really difficult, too taxing and emotional”.
Minogue has dealt a bitter blow to the BBC by announcing her departure from the show on the first day of the live stages.
The singer from Australia has said she is going to be too busy with commitments due to tour and this is why she can’t return as a coach on the contest next year.
When she was asked about a possible return, the 45 year old superstar said “I’m touring this year and the timings wouldn’t work. We started filming in November last year for the show and this year I’m on tour in September, October and November”.
Kylie has recently received a place in the charts with her latest single Blue and has admitted it would be hard to take time out and help contestants once she kicks off her Kiss Me Once tour.
The BBC spokesman added “Kylie is a fantastic addition to the coaching line up”.
So for now, a replacement judge will need to be found for the next series. Kylie has been great fun this series and we wish her all the best with her tour later in the year.
