Comedian Miranda Hart has revealed that she has joined the cast of a new Hollywood film by Bridesmaids director Paul Feig.
Miranda will be joined by a host of famous actors including Jude Law, Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne and Jason Statham. The filming of the new spy comedy will start in Budapest on Monday and the film is set to be released in May 2015.
“I’ve been a fan of Miranda’s for years and am so excited to bring her to the big screen,” said Feig.
“I’m also hoping I’ll finally get back that lawnmower I loaned her last summer,” he joked.
Hart – who is currently on the road with her ‘My, What I Call, Live Show’ stand-up tour – added: “I am beyond excited to work with Paul, who I am a huge huge fan of, and it will be nothing less than a hoot to work with Melissa McCarthy.
“By the end of the film I plan to have married Jude Law and have Melissa as our adopted daughter.”
