Jon Clegg has been revealed as the Britain’s Got Talent wildcard!
Impressive impressionist Jon had everyone in stitches during his time on BGT. His first audition and semi-final performance were both hilarious and included a wide range of well-known celebrity impressions. Some of his act included brilliant imitations of Alan Carr, Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and even Ant & Dec.
Despite his incredible talent, Jon missed out on a place in the final to illusionist Darcy Oake when the judges’ split votes resulted in deadlock. Simon and Alesha were backing Darcy and Amanda and David were backing Jon. In the end, the decision was put down to the public vote and Darcy won the place in the final.
However, Jon has been given another chance as he’s returning to the show to compete against the other 10 finalists to win £250K and a place at the Royal Variety Performance this year.
When he found out he was the wildcard, Jon said: “I’m on top of the world. I thought I was in with a chance but there were so many strong contenders.
“I thought Bailey had a good chance – he is hugely talented. Also Light Balance, Innova and Jodi.
“I’m actually working for the next few days but I’ll be rehearsing to make sure I’m 100 per cent ready. My dad is absolutely over the moon. He’s so made up for me. Hopefully he’ll be able to come and see me perform on Saturday.”
Make sure you watch the Britain’s Got Talent final this Saturday on ITV.
