There has been many rumors over the last few weeks that Simon Cowell is leaving the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel but he has announced that he will not be quitting the show.
“I know there were some reports saying I was going to leave Britain’s Got Talent after this year but I’m definitely, definitely not,” Simon said.
He added: “I was really pleased with it in the end. We had a fantastic final and some great acts.”
Although Simon has revealed that the judging panel may change, “It’s about having a conversation to see how much they want to be on the show,” he said of the judges earlier this month. “Are they still into the idea of finding a star?”
I never want a judge for hire. I want someone committed.”
Unlike last year when we saw all four of the judges declare their intention to return as a judge on the next series during the last episode, none of panel other than Simon have yet commented on their return.
Simon knew at the end of the last series that he wanted David, Amanda and Alesha Dixon back again,” a source said recntly. “He got them all to agree after the final.
“But this year he’s not given any of them any assurances over their future.”
The insider added to the Daily Star newspaper: “He really wants to take stock of what’s happened this series and make the necessary changes.”
