Is ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ set to return this year?

Stars In Their Eyes might be returning to our TV screens.

The show, which features contestants impersonating famous singers, may be coming back with comedian Harry Hill as the host.

It ran from 1990 to 2006 on Saturday prime-time television with presenters such as Leslie Crowther, Matthew Kelley and Cat Deeley. Stars In Their Eyes attracted millions for their finals and won four NTAs.

An ITV spokesperson talked about working with Harry Hill and cleared up the rumours:

“We love working with him, but there are no confirmed programmes commissioned at this stage.”

This isn’t the only show that ITV has revived recently, game-shows such as Catchphrase and Celebrity Squares have also been given a second chance and a new format. Surprise Surprise has also returned to ITV previously.
