The Vamps team up with Shawn Mendes for new single!

The Vamps have confirmed the title of their new single, which will be called ‘Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)’ and will feature Shawn Mendes.

The single is a new version of the song which is released on 12th October and is now available for pre-order on iTunes. The single bundle will also include a track the boys wrote in March called ‘Hurricane’.

The news was revealed in an interview with BBC Radio 1 this morning (4th September), where James tweeted ‘Listen to @BBCR1 at 8am as we are speaking… Yeah’ and Connor tweeting ‘Guys tune into Radio 1 soon we have something to tell you’.

The original version of the track is on their debut album  ‘Meet The Vamps’, which reached number two in the UK album charts earlier this year.

‘Cecilia’ is a cover of a very popular song by Simon & Garfunkel however Brad, Tristan, Connor and James have added their own lyrics to the song.

Shawn Mendes joined The Vamps and Fifth Harmony to support Austin Mahone on his headline North American tour.

The song ‘Oh Cecilia’ has proved a hit for fans at live shows, and will be a follow up to the bands previous top 5 hits such as ‘Can We Dance’,  ‘Last Night’, ‘Somebody To You’ and ‘Wildheart’.
