The X Factor judges have been given their categories for this year just before Bootcamp. (SPOILER ALERT)
The 2014 judges, also known as Simon, Cheryl, Mel B and of course Louis, have been told exactly which category they’ll be mentoring this year.

During Bootcamp the judges will get to decide who makes it through to Judges’ Houses and who’ll go home with a nice, little sob story for when they try again next year.
So who’s got which category? There’s only one way to find out. Drumroll please…
For the third time in her 4 series, Cheryl has been given the Girls. Mel B’s first ever category is the Boys. Simon has the Overs. Which leaves Louis with the Groups.
Apparently Simon is “chuffed” about getting the Overs after Sam Bailey’s success last year and it’s no shocker Cheryl is “thrilled” with having the Girls.

Bootcamp will be aired this Friday, Saturday AND Sunday in a marathon X Factor weekend which shows the return of the ‘Six Chair Challenge’.
The remaining acts in each category will battle it out for an all-important seat for the next round.
And if that wasn’t nerve wracking enough, the judges are also free to swap and replace those sitting in the seats at any time. Whoever stays on the seats will make it through to Judges’ Houses. It’s like a very dark version of Musical Chairs.
The X Factor 2014 airs on ITV.
