Tonight is Micheal Jackson vs Queen week on The X Factor, but it seems Jay James might not be able to sing his version of Queen’s song ‘The Show Will Go On’.
The Over 25 has not yet managed to rehearse his performance due to him losing his voice.
He tweeted earlier in the week: “If u find my voice anywhere, please keep safe & return to the addressed (by Sat night). Sincerely yours, #theboythatwantstofly”
And from yesterday’s rehearsals, Jay added to his fans: “absolutely devastated, couldn’t soundcheck, voice is totally gone. being sent to see a specialist now.”
An X Factor insider told The Sun newspaper today: “Jay has really struggled with his voice this week, so much so that he had to go to a throat specialist.
“It is so sore he fears he won’t be able to do his best and may get booted out.”
Previously, when acts have been too ill to sing they have been given one ‘free pass’ to the next live show. But as it stands Jay James is still set to sing this evening.
We love Jay James here at TwitCelebGossip, and wish him a speedy recovery.
X Factor continues tonight at 8pm on ITV, with Sunday night’s results show featuring performances from One Direction and Sam Smith.
